Descent of the Holy Spirit...

As we reflect on the third Glorious Mystery of the Rosary, the Descent of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles, Monsignor Philip Whitmore plays us three polyphonic settings of the Pentecost sequence, the ' Veni Sancte Spiritus' of which the first was written by the 15th century English composer John Dunstable.

Also in this musical meditation a double-choir setting of the ' Veni Sancte Spiritus' by Tomas Luis de Victoria and , a Spanish priest -composer as well as a 21st century setting of the Pentecost sequence wirtten by Sir Peter Maxwell Davies...
