May 08, 2012: Details of the 27th Pastoral visit of Pope BENEDICT XVI
in Italy is announced by the Vatican. The Pontiff visits the central Italian diocese
of Arezzo - Cortona - Sansepolcro on Sunday 13 May. The Pope will leave Vatican by
helicopter at 8.00 to reach the city of Arezzo. During the day-long visit, Pope
Benedict will preside over a solemn Eucharist at Prato. He will then visit the cathedral
of St. Donato. In the evening at 5 pm the Pontiff will leave the city of Arezzo
to the Franciscan pilgrimage centre at Verna. He will meet and interact with the members
of Fraciscan order and the order of St. Clare there. The Pope will then leave for
Sansepolcro, the last leg of his pastoral visit, where he will address a public gathering.
Pope Benedict XVI will say adieu to the city at 8.15 pm to reach Vatican by 9.30 pm.
