Over a hundred Pakistani soldiers were buried when an avalanche smashed into a military
headquarters this morning near the border of India. Helicopters, rescue dogs and troops
have been deployed to a remote region in northern Kashmir to rescue those who have
been trapped in the avalanche. The Kashmir region has been the cause of two wars between
India and Pakistan since 1947. Around 15,000 troops from both countries are in the
area where the avalanche happened.
