February 14, 2012: A delegation of Ministers of the Government of the United Kingdom
is making an official visit to the Vatican on Tuesday and Wednesday on the occasion
of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with
the Holy See. The delegation is led by Baroness Sayeeda Hussain Warsi, representative
of Prime Minister David Cameron. The delegation also includes Mgr. Vincent Nichols,
Archbishop of Westminster. The talks during the two days will focus, among other
things, inter-religious dialogue, human rights, environment and climate change and
international development. During the two-day visit, Baroness Warsi will deliver
a speech to the Pontifical Ecclesiastical Academy and the Diplomatic Corps to the
Holy See on the theme "The role of religion in political debate and in international
affairs".
