(January 21.2012) A drop of blood of Blessed John Paul II contained in a glass phial
reached Bogotà, Colombia Thursday, bringing a message of comfort and strength to thousands
of faithful and victims of the conflicts in the country and to the parents of many
young people who have disappeared. Polish Bishop Slawomir Oder cited as an eloquent
sign of healing wrought by the beatified Pope, the meeting with Mehmet Alí Agca, who
shot at him. And he can put an end to violence in Colombia, bringing peace. The relic
will continue its tour, Saturday, in the church of Mary Queen, in the Santa Fe quarter
of Bogotà and on Sunday in Carthage.
