New Hopes for Holy Land

(January 07.01.2012) Some representatives of the Bishops of the whole of Europe and North America will be meetings in Jersusalem from the 8^th to the 12^th January 2012, for their annual meetings of coordination on behalf of the Holy Land, in a context rife with political and social changes. This year’s visits are planned to Gaza, Nablus, and Jerusalem Sunday, besides meetings at Haifa and Ramallah. Together with the Catholic Bishops of the Holy Land, the opening session of the coordination will take place on Monday 9^th . The next day interreligious dialogues are planned with Hebrews, Muslims, the Druse and Bahai groups. Since 1998 the Episcopal Conferences of England and Wales have been engaging in these annual encounters to sustain the Church in the Holy Land.
