Swiss Ambassador highlights history of excellent relations
Pope Benedict XVI received the credentials of 12 new non-resident ambassadors to the
Holy See on Thursday. During his speech to them he called for a greater sharing of
responsibility in this era of globalization. The new Swiss Ambassador to the Holy
See, Paul Widmer, was among those on hand to present his Letters of Credence and hear
the Holy Father’s remarks. Ambassador Widmer spoke with our colleague in the German
Section of Vatican Radio, Mario Galgano, about the history and the future of relations
