It’s just over a year since Pope Benedict XVI consecrated Gaudi’s Basilica of the
Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. The work of this famed architect will come under the
microscope again on Wednesday at the Spanish Embassy to the Holy See here in Rome,
in the form a conference entitled, “The era of Gaudi in Catalonia and in Italy".
It’s
being organised to coincide with an exhibition currently underway in the Carlo Magno
Hall in the Vatican.
One of the people who has spent his life studying the
work of Gaudi is the Chief Architect of the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona.
He
spoke to Lydia O’Kane in Barcelona during last November’s Papal Visit. Listen
