(December 10.2011) Pope Benedict XVI, as Bishop of Rome, will be continuing his
pastoral visits to parishes of his diocese, in the course of the year, whenever he
is in Rome on Sundays and when his other commitments permit. Sunday 11th
he will be visiting a parish in the North East of Rome, in a quarter known as Casal
Boccone. The parish bears the name “Holy Mary of Favours” known in Italian as Santa
Maria delle Grazie. The Parish Priest Don Domenico Monteforte told our Vatican
Radio corresspondent that his parish is rather new and in the process of full evolution.
The social milieu was difficult but a challenge to the apostolate. As customary on
his parish visits, the Pope will celebrate Mass and then meet the different parish
groups.
