Terror in Afghanistan: Karzai interrupts foreign trip
Afghan President Hamid Karzai has cut short an overseas trip after a series of suicide
bombings killed nearly 60 people in Kabul and Mazar-i-Sharif. A Pakistan-based extremist
group claimed responsibility for the coordinated attacks, which appeared to target
Shia Muslims celebrating the festival of Ashura. President Karzai had been in Germany
attending an international conference on the future of his country, and had been due
