Theological Commission to study methodology, monotheism, social doctrine

(November 21, 2011) The International Theological Commission will be holding its plenary session next week in the Vatican to focus on methodology, monotheism and the social teaching of the Church, the Vatican’s Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith announced on Monday. The Vatican’s doctrinal office that is in charge of the International Theological Commission said that the Nov. 28-Dec. 2 meeting in the Vatican will deal with the perspectives, principles and criteria of the methodological question in theology. It will also study monotheism and the social doctrine of the Church in the broader context of Christian doctrine.
