The annual meeting of the Managing Board, of the World Catholic Association for Communication
or SIGNIS is being held in Rome this week.The association brings together radio, television,
cinema, video, media education, internet, and is also broadening its horizons into
areas such as social networking. “…there is no way to create new images with a
new generation without being in touch with new technologies and particularly social
networking which is the spot to be”, says Vice President of SIGNIS Gustavo Andujar
from Cuba. He also explained to Lydia O’Kane that it is important for SIGNIS to
get in touch with the younger generation to find out what they want and how they see
themselves and their future. The SIGNIS meeting runs until November 12th.
