Increased tension ahead of UN report on Iranian nuclear program
Tensions have risen ahead of a key report on Iran by the International Atomic Energy
Agency.
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has criticized the head of the
U.N.'s nuclear agency as an American pawn in the run-up to its expected release of
evidence which purports to document Tehran's nuclear weapons program. Israel, meanwhile,
has warned of the possibility of military action to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear
weapons.
