Notice of an Ecumenical Prayer Service for Peaceful Elections

(September 10, 2011) A notice of an Ecumenical Prayer Service for peaceful elections in Zambia has been written on behalf of the three Church Mother bodies, namely, the Council of Churches in Zambia, the Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia and the Zambia Episcopal Conference , to give information of a Prayer Service on the need to curb electoral violence and promote a culture of peace before, during and after the September 20 Tripartite Elections. This event will be held on Sunday, 11th September 2011 at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross starting at 1,00 p.m.. All concerned are cordially invited to come and join in offering prayers for peace in Zambia and reflect on the call to be peacemakers. Those who read this note are warmly invited to share this information with other colleagues within their respective networks. The note has been issued by Fr. Cleophas Lungu, Secretary General of the Zambia Episcopal Conference.
