(August 27, 2011) The International Ecumenical Fellowship (IEF) have been holding
their international conference in Brighton, U.K. August (22-29). It is a community
of grassroots Christians from different countries and traditions, who through prayer
and worship, theological study, discipleship, fellowship and friendship are spiritually
encouraged to work for Christian Unity. Their inspiration is the vision and the experience
of Living Today the Church of Tomorrow. The present convention is the 41st,
counting about 200 participants. They strive towards ecumenism through sharing of
life and prayer, through dialogue and friendship. The title of this convention is
a phrase from the gospel of St John: “Called to be friends”.
