Pope Benedict pays tribute to Cardinal Noè

Pope Benedict has sent a telegram of condolence to the family of Cardinal Virgilio Noè following his death on Sunday.

The Pope described Cardinal Noè as a diligent contributor to the work of the Holy See especially in his role as Master of Pontifical Liturgical Celebrations and Archpriest of St Peter’s Basilica.

The Holy Father also paid tribute to the Cardinal as a man of priestly zeal and who was a faithful witness of the Gospel.
