Benedictine Abbott Timothy Wright, who also wears the hat of "Titular Abbott of Westminster
Abbey" in London, recently participated in the annual Prayer for Peace ceremonies,
both in London and in Montecassino, Italy. These ceremonies - he says - represent
a precious occasion to pray, to share, to find reconciliation , but also to bear witness
to a moving story that further connects and binds the two famous Abbeys which share
much common ground. It's the true story of an ancient wooden panel taken by a British
soldier from the Abbey of Montecassino in 1944, and this year returned to where it
