Making correct, honest and ethical decisions in the complex world of international
trade and finance is never going to be easy, but the Vatican hopes that last week's
Summit on Ethics may offer some essential guidelines for today's top businessmen and
women. The three day meeting at the Pontifical Academy of Sciences, which opened on
Thursday, was organised by the Justice and Peace Council, together with the Fidelis
International Institute. Phililppa Hitchen spoke with the president of that institute,
Fr Michael Ryan, to find out how the idea for this summit came about....
