Prayer part 2

“Continuing our catechesis on Christian prayer, we now turn to sacred Scripture and its witness to the dialogue between God and man in history, a dialogue culminating in Jesus Christ, the Word made flesh.” These are words used by Pope Benedict XVI on Wednesday morning during his weekly general audience as he continues to meditate on prayer, the subject of a new topic for his catechesis. “Christ’s prayer of intercession on the Cross brings salvation to the world"- the Pope said - "Through him, let us pray with unfailing trust in God’s merciful love for all mankind, conscious that our prayers will be heard and answered.”
Picking up on that theme, father Jim Brand, brings us the second in his own series of meditations on prayer reminding us that prayer isn’t a special thing for a few people: it’s for us all!
