Pope Benedict :week-end in Aquileia and Venice - On Saturday 7th May, Pope Benedict XVI begins a week-end visit to North Eastern Italy which takes him both to Aquileia and Venice.
Chris Altieri will be reporting for us from there. Prior to leaving he shared with Veronica Scarisbrick an outline of some of the highlights of this forthcoming Apostolic visit.
Aquileia: history and Christian legacy - Katherine McDonnell who teaches Roman archeology at the University of California, Los Angeles has a particular expertise in the Roman Empire.She was first led to Aquileia in search for inscriptions and is now most familiar with the site. She tells us all about its history and Christian legacy describing the stunning mosaics and crypts as she goes along.
Gary Krupp paves the way...- On January 18 2005, the ‘ Pave the Way Foundation’ was granted a special audience with the now Blessed John Paul II, in the Vatican’s Clementine Hall. The group was led by the President and founder of the Pave the Way Foundation, Gary Krupp.
