(March 30, 2011)For World Youth Day in August this year in the Spanish capital Madrid,
a comic book on the life of Benedict XVI will be handed out to help pilgrims and residents
know more about the Pontiff. The comic book titled “Habemus Papam” Latin for “We
have a Pope”, will tell his life story since being elected as poniff, his friendship
with John Paul II and his travels to other World Youth Days. It will also explain
different proposals made by the pope, meant to help youth give more meaning to their
lives. Jonathan Lin, the director of the company that's publishing the comic, says
“It's an opportunity to transform the culture and arouse interest in the pope and
his message to young people.” 300,000 copies will be printed in English and Spanish
and distributed at different locations in Madrid.
