Mass for victims of Baghdad Cathedral attack

At the initiative of Rome's Syrian-Catholic Church, a special mass will be held November 25th in St. Peter's Basilica in memory of the priests and faithful who died in an attack against their cathedral in the Iraqi capital Baghdad on October 31st. The 5 pm liturgy - which members of the diplomatic corps accredited to the Holy See have also been invited to attend - will be celebrated by Cardinal Leonardo Sandri, prefect of the Congregation for Oriental Churches.
