(29 Aug 10 - RV) United States President Barack Obama paid tribute to New Orleans
on Sunday during the fifth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, one of the greatest natural
disasters to ever hit the United States.
Eighty percent of New Orleans was
flooded when the storm tore through protective levees and about 1,800 people died.
Several hundred are still listed as missing, including one Catholic priest.
