ICRC Increases Aid to Pakistan as Taliban Threatens International Workers
(26 Aug 10 - RV) It’s one month since devastating floods hit Pakistan and 4 weeks
on rains have continued to fall unabated.
The International Committee of the
Red Cross increased its joint aid operations with the Pakistani Red Crescent this
week. The increase comes even as US officials warned that militants in the country
might begin targeting aid workers.
