St Therese Relics Arrive in South Africa

(26 June 10 - RV) The relics of St. Therese of Lisieux have arrived in South Africa. They were ceremonially received yesterday at the Carmelite Convent in Benoni. The reliquary will lie for veneration until June 28th when they will be taken to the Geluksdal Catholic Church, the next stop in a three month tour across South Africa.

Fr. Chris Townsend is the information officer for the Southern African Catholic Bishops’ Conference, and spoke with us about the significance of the relics for the South African people: RealAudioMP3
