Kenya's President Calls on US to Help Stabilizing Somalia


(8 June 10-RV) Kenya's president asked the United States today to lead a greater international effort to stabilize neighboring Somalia, while visiting U.S. Vice President Joe Biden said the U.S. is committed to helping Kenya see regional stability. Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki said Somalia is a high priority for both the U.S. and Kenya. Society of African Missionaries Fr Sean O’Leary is the director of the South Denis Hurley Peace institute, connected to the South African Bishops conference. He says that Somalia is out of control, and that something must be done to prevent terrorists in the country from destablizing neighboring nations and breeding terror globally. RealAudioMP3
