Fr. Lombardi on Legionaries of Christ Meeting
(28 Apr 10 - RV) Responding to journalists questions today, Vatican Press Office director Fr Federico Lombardi S.J. said that any specific decisions regarding the Congregation of the Legionaries of Christ rest with Pope Benedict XVI.
Fr Lombardi was referring to questions about the meeting of the five bishops in charge of the Apostolic Visitation of the Congregation of the Legionaries of Christ, scheduled for this Friday, April 30th.
Fr. Lombardi said that during meeting in question the bishops will make an initial presentation of their reports and proposals. Therefore specific decisions about the same congregation are not expected. Fr Lombardi concludes that these [decisions] will be made by the Holy Father at a later date, after careful study and reflection on the findings of the visitation
