Search for Survivors Continues After Quake in China
(RV - 16 Apr 2010) Rescue teams are still continuing to find survivors from an earthquake
that hit China’s Qinghai province and has killed up to 800 people.
Survivors
of Wednesday's tremor spent another night huddled under quilts and in tents, while
doctors struggled to treat the wounded in a makeshift medical centre.
Many
Tibetan Buddhist monks joined the rescue effort undertaken by soldiers and rescue
teams.
