Remembering Romero 30 Years on

(24 Mar 10 - RV) Today marks the 30th anniversary of the murder of Archbishop Oscar Romero who was shot dead while saying mass in San Salvador.

Archbishop Romero became known as the “Bishop of the People”, speaking out for the poor and the victims of the Salvadoran Civil War.

Christine Allen is the Executive Director of the International Development Charity Progressio and is in El Salvador to mark the anniversary.
