President of Caritas Haiti Calls for a Humanizing Solidarity
(3 Feb 10 - RV) Haiti must not become forgotten emergency, because the world has nothing
to gain if it looses Haiti. This was the appeal launched today by Bishop Pierre
Dumas, president of Caritas Haiti. Speaking to journalists as the Community of Sant'Egidio
headquarters in Rome, he warned against protagonism in relief efforts and called for
intelligent, efficient aid but above all a humanizing solidarity. He also spoke of
