Ethnic Unrest Spreads to Surrounding Villages of Jos, Nigeria
(23 Jan 10 - RV) Unrest between rival ethnic groups in the city of Jos, Nigeria is
reported to have spread to villages around the capital of Plateau state.

President Goodluck Jonathan has deployed the military to contain the violence. The
Archbishop of Jos, Ignatius Kaigama says unfounded rumours of massacres are inciting
gangs of youths to revenge attacks.
