Caritas Appeals for More Aid to Assist Relief Efforts in Haiti

(23 January 10- RV) Caritas is distributing food, blankets, tents and water purification tablets today to survivors of last week’s earthquake that killed as many as 200,000 people and left 1.5 million homeless. The organization this week appealed for $42 million to assist relief efforts as it continues to ship emergency aid over the next two months.
