(21 January 10-RV) Nigerian authorities relaxed a 24-hour curfew in the city of Jos
today to allow thousands of residents to return to their homes following clashes between
Muslims and Christians that killed hundreds. Four days of sectarian clashes this week
killed more than 460 people in and around the central Nigerian city. Director of Communications
for the Diocese of Abuja, Fr. Patrick To Alumuku says religious leaders are trying
to open up a path of dialogue.
