Thousands Cling to Life in Haiti as Massive Relief Effort Progresses

Thousands of people remain trapped beneath the rubble that once was the capital, Port au Prince, while those who escaped the immediate destruction of Wednesday’s earthquake are now facing the threefold threat of disease, exposure and starvation.
