Kids from Orphanages Enjoy Christmas Evening at Fatima Retreat House Mangalore
(December 26, 2009) The children from orphanages in the city enjoyed a special Christmas
evening at Fatima Retreat house on Friday December 25 with fun games and entertainment
programme. Spiritual director of Fatima Retreat House, Fr Rony Prabhu and Fr Victor
D’Silva inaugurated the `Fun Evening’. Fr Victor D Silva delivered the evening’s message
and said that good deeds as well as service to the society is the true way to lead
life and adds meaning to life. The children gathered in the house premises enjoyed
the games and the dances, songs and skits presented. They also participated in the
games conducted by the organizers of the event. Children from six orphanage homes
in the city, St Aloysian Boys Home, Prashanth Nivas at Jeppu, Infant Mary’s Orphanage
Home in Kulshekar, Bhagini Samaja Shishunilaya in Jeppu, Zeenath Bhaksh Yateem Kana
in Bunder and St Anthony’s Orphanage in Jeppu participated at the event. Mrs Lilly
Miranda, a social worker was the Master of Ceremonies for the programme. Fr Rony Prabhu
and Fr Victor D’Silva gave away prizes for the winners of the games.
