FAO Summit Reminds International Community of Hunger

(18 Nov 09 - RV) The head of a U.N. food agency expressed regret today that an anti-hunger summit failed to result in precise promises of funding. The three-day summit at the FAO headquarters in Rome ended with little new headway in efforts for a new strategy to help farmers in poor countries produce enough to feed their people. But the Permanent Observer of  the Holy See to the FAO Monsignor Renato Volante says that the summit serves as reminder of the dramatic problem of hunger in the world. RealAudioMP3
