(08 Nov 09 - RV) Today marks Remembrance Sunday in the UK and Veteran’s Day in the
US.
It commemorates the sacrifices of members of the armed forces and of
civilians in times of war specifically since the World War One.
This year
in both the US and UK Sunday 8th of November will be particularly poignant.
Only
today Britain saw the deaths of 2 of its troops in Afghanistan and in the US flags
are flying at half mast as a tribute to those who were killed in the Fort Hood base
shooting in Texas.
We spoke to the New Bishop of the Armed Forces in the
UK, Richard Moth who says its especially important this year to pray for the casualties
of war.
