Emergency Summit Called to Prevent Zimbabwe from Collapse
(5 November 09-RV) The Southern African Development Community (SADC) is holding a
summit in Mozambique today hoping to prevent the collapse of Zimbabwe's unity government.
The government plunged into another crisis last month after Prime Minister Morgan
Tsvangirai's MDC party boycotted President Robert Mugabe's ZANU-PF party. We spoke
to Father Oskar Wermter from the Jesuit Communications Office in Harare, Zimbabwe
who says SADC leaders need to act now.
