(29 October 09 –RV) Malaysian authorities confiscated more than 15,000 Bibles imported
from Indonesia in recent months because they referred to «God» as «Allah,». The Catholic
Church in Malaysia is currently challenging the ban in court, saying it is unconstitutional
and discriminates against those worshipping in the Malay language. We spoke to the
Editor of the Catholic weekly newspaper the Malaysian Herald, Father Lawrence Andrew.
