Pope Benedict Celebrates St. Bonaventure

(7 Sept 09 - RV) This past Sunday afternoon, Pope Benedict was in the town of Bagnoregio, the birthplace of St. Bonaventure, a 13^th century Franciscan theologian who became minister general of his order, and cardinal bishop.
Pope Benedict celebrated him as a messenger of hope, a model of the Christian intellectual and an inspiration to all those who, in the present day, would work to raise appreciation of and guarantee respect for God’s creation. Chris Altieri reports…
