Fighting Continues in Democratic Republic of Congo

(08 July 09 - RV) Armed attacks and military operations continue to plague the north and south Kivu provinces in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Despite the lull in fighting earlier this year, the situation has been deteriorating since March.
Outgoing head of the International Committee of the Red Cross delegation in DRC, Max Hadorn, gave a press briefing today on the humanitarian crisis at the ICRC headquarters in Geneva .
