Security Concerns in Afghanistan Addressed by G8 Foreign Ministers
(26 June 09 - RV) Foreign ministers from the group of eight most industrialised nations
are currently meeting in Italy’s northern city of Trieste ahead of the G8 summit in
two weeks time.
Iran has so far dominated the talks, though diplomats today
discussed other issues such as regional security in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Professor
of International Relations at The American University of Rome, James Walston, spoke
with Kelsea Brennan-Wessels about what the G8 nations hope to accomplish in the region.
