Insurgents Kill Somali Security Minister and Dozens More
(18 June 09 - RV) Islamist insurgents killed Somalia's security minister and at least
24 other people today in the deadliest suicide bomb attack yet in the Horn of Africa
nation. Somalia, which has not had an effective government for 18 years, has been
fighting an Islamic insurgency trying to topple the weak, Western-backed government.
The conflict has displaced more than 122,000 people. The Communications Director at
