Violence Flares in Southern Thailand


(17 Jun 09 - RV) In Thailand, Suspected Muslim insurgents set off a bomb Tuesday, killing two policemen, and fatally shot a Buddhist teacher in the south of the country.


A Muslim separatist insurgency in Thailand's three southernmost provinces has led to the deaths of more than 3,500 people, both Buddhist  and Muslim, since early 2004.
