Pope Meets Austrian Bishops, Appoints Personal Doctor
(15 June 09 - RV) Pope Benedict XVI met with a delegation of Austrian bishops in the
Vatican on Monday morning. The bishops are due to meet with the heads of the offices
of the Roman Curia over the next two days. Issues within the Austrian Church are
the focus of discussions, in particular questions regarding the diocese of Linz.

Monday Holy Father named Dr. Patrizio Polisca deputy director of the Vatican’s Department
for Health and at the same time appointed Dr. Polisca his personal physician. Dr.
Polisac replaces Renato Buzzonetti whose long service as Papal doctor spanned two
pontificates.
