COMECE Encourages Political Participation in Europe

(09 June 09 - RV) The President of the Commission of Bishops Conferences of the European Union, Bishop Adrianus van Lyun, issued a statement today congratulating the winners in weekend elections to the European parliament.

At the same time, the statement goes on to say the President of COMECE regrets the low turnout at the European Elections, saying it indicates that a European Civil Society is still missing.
