Solidarity with Zimbabwe at Easter
(12 Apr 09 -RV) This Easter week, a consignment of goods collected following the Bishops of Southern Africa’s appeal on February 15th will be delivered to Zimbabwe to assist the poor and destitute in the southern African nation.
The Catholic Community of Southern Africa has responded generously to the call, and will send a 258 ton shipment of food, medicine and clothing.
The information officer for the Southern African Catholic Bishops’ Conference, Fr Chris Townsend, spoke about his hopes for Zimbabwe this Easter.
