Pope Benedict Prepares to Mark The Way of the Cross

(10 Apr 09 - RV) Good Friday ceremonies are underway here in the Vatican. As we speak Papal Preacher Franciscan Fr Raniero Cantalamessa is leading reflections in today’s solemn celebration of The Passion of Our Lord, in St Peter’s Basilica. Later this evening millions of Catholics worldwide will watch Pope Benedict XVI mark the Way of the Cross at Rome’s Coliseum, one of the principal liturgical events of Holy Week here in the eternal city.
