L'Aquila Looks to Its Future

(09 Apr 09 - RV) Pope Benedict is sending the blessed oils from his Chrism Mass in St. Peter's Basilica to L’Aquila, which is recovering from a deadly earthquake. He has also given an indult through the Congregation for Divine Worship allowing A Funeral Mass to be celebrated on Friday. Normally, It is forbidden to say Mass on Good Friday. The Mass will be celebrated by the Cardinal Secretary of State, Tarcisio Bertone.


Meanwhile, rescuers removed more more bodies from a collapsed university dormitory in central Italy early on Thursday, raising the death toll in the country's worst earthquake in three decades.
