British PM Says N Ireland Peace Process "Unshakable"
(9 Mar 09 - RV) British Prime Minister Gordon Brown says the peace process in Northern
Ireland is “unshakable” despite the killings of two soldiers by a group of IRA dissidents.
He travelled to Northern Ireland today to meet soldiers at the Massereene army barracks,
the scene of the killings. He also met with police and political leaders. Afterwards
Brown declared that the Real IRA _ who claimed responsibility for the Saturday night
attack _ had no place in the peace process. We spoke to Robin Wilson, an analyst on
Northern Ireland issues based in Belfast ,who says these killings come as no surprise.
